This year’s Moscow Motor Show featured an all-new concept from Hyundai, the RB. Hyundai Maryland said the car is expected to become a Russian-market production model with a variety of engines for consumers to choose from.
Powering the base model is expected to be a 1.4-liter four cylinder engine producing just over 100 horsepower. More powerful will be available through an optional 124 horsepower 1.6-liter four cylinder unit. Both powerplants will be mated to either a five-speed manual transmission or a six-speed auto.
With elegant lines that resemble a calligrapher’s “orchid strokes,” the concept RB continues Hyundai Motor’s ‘fluidic sculpture’ design philosophy that injects sophistication and dynamic angles into the shape of a vehicle.
This concept also features styling borrowed from other new Hyundai models, such as the Sonata. Aside from its handsome styling, there really isn’t anything particularly exciting about the model or its mechanicals. However, the RB Concept could be very similar to what the next-generation Accent will look like.
