Hyundai has been rapidly revamping its lineup and despite gravitating towards luxury, even the lowest priced models in the lineup still haven’t been forgotten.

Making its debut in Beijing last week was the 2011 Hyundai Accent. Continuing the same “fluidic sculpture” design language that we’ve seen on recent models such as the 2011 Sonata, the new Accent continues to be more stylish, luxurious, but still overall retaining the compact dimensions of its predecessor.

Although this new sedan retains its compact size, the 2011 Hyundai Accent (aka Verna) also balances the same couple-like roofline as seen on the new Sonata. With a higher quality look and feel, the Accent is moves in the same upscale direction of Hyundai’s other models in terms of overall quality and amenities, but of course remains affordable.

Powering the new 2011 Hyundai Accent is a 1.4-liter inline four cylinder engine producing 106 horsepower, or a 1.6-liter 120 horsepower inline four cylinder. Power is routed through either a five-speed manual gearbox or four-speed automatic.

The all-new 2011 Hyundai Accent should arrive here next year. While power is on par with similar offerings such as Nissan Versa Seattle WA models, expect a slightly more powerful four-cylinder option as well when it reaches the U.S.
