Hyundai will be unveiling the hybrid version of the Hyundai Santa Fe at this year’s Paris Motor Show, signaling the latest automaker to enter the competitive hybrid segment. The Hyundai Santa Fe Blue Hybrid has been kept under wraps for quite some time, but will finally makes its debut in Europe.

Although the Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid is technically a concept, the vehicle is thinly disguised production model that will likely find its way into dealer showrooms. Hyundai’s new hybrid system combines the company’s 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine, a popular engine choice among fuel-conscious Birmingham Hyundai Dealers buyers, with an electric motor capable of generating 41 horsepower and 145 lb-ft of torque, and it mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. The Hyundai Santa Fe hybrid reportedly delivers about 38 miles per gallon.

Although not much has been set in stone for the new Hyundai Santa Fe hybrid, the four-cylinder and six-speed auto will remain the basis for future hybrid vehicles within the Hyundai lineup. With much of the import competition now offering hybrids, Hyundai Dealer Reading PA and other dealers are eagerly awaiting “green” models to draw customers into showrooms. In addition to its electric motor, the Santa Fe Blue Hybrid will also features low-roll resistance tires, reduced fiction crankcase oil, and other features to help reduce energy consumption.
