The beautiful 2011 Hyundai Sonata has already spurred tremendous demand and has also spawned upcoming turbo and hybrid models. Now new reports are suggesting the Sonata lineup will grow even more with the addition of a coupe.

Inside Line has reported that a Sonata coupe is likely the next extension of the lineup as Hyundai continues to provide something for just about everyone. Also, the larger Genesis isĀ  available in either a sedan or coupe bodystyle, with a number of powertrain options as well. As such, the expansion of the Genesis lineup could be a good indication of what to expect with the Sonata.

Already on sale, the 2011 Hyundai Sonata starts under $20K with a standard 2.4-liter direct-injected 4-cylinder making 198 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque. The top of the lineup Sonata is available with a 200 horsepower 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine and loads of amenities.

Later this year, the Sonata lineup will add the all-new 2011 hybrid model, as well as the 2.0T model that comes equipped with a 2.0-liter Theta II turbocharged GDI engine making 274 horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque.
